Product Manager Grapes
To strengthen our commercial team in Rotterdam, we are looking for a Product Manager Grapes. In this pivotal role, you will become a specialist procurement manager in the table grape industry recognized by the key growers, customers and breeders. You will collaborate with colleagues across all departments to manage your product category – with a focus on the interests of our growers, our clients, and our business as a whole.
What will you do?
- Maintain and develop strategic relationships with growers based on quality, sustainability, reliability, and innovation. This will require regular visits to growers in South America, South Africa, Egypt and India.
- Develop supply programmes with growers based on a solid understanding of customer needs, such as product quality, food safety and sustainability. The programmes are mainly dedicated to retail customers across Europe.
- Align weekly with suppliers regarding programme follow-up, stock, quality, and price trends.
- Negotiate purchasing terms and take responsibility for margins.
- Actively scout new varieties and packaging options and aligning these with the sales teams.
- Manage shortages or surpluses to maintain balance in the supply chain.
- Work closely with our sourcing teams (South Africa, South America and Egypt) and sales teams (based in Rotterdam and Spain), as well as the logistics, quality, and administration departments.
- Manage inventory positions and create market scenarios based on data and trends in collaboration with the sales teams.
What do you bring?
Requirements
- Higher professional education level or operating on this level (HBO / BSc.).
- At least 5 years of experience with import, procurement, or product management in the fresh produce sector.
- Comfortable with frequent international travel
- Strong commercial drive; able to identify and convert opportunities into results.
- Proficiency in English and conversational Spanish; Dutch is a plus.
- Experience with MS Office (OFE uses MS Dynamics 365 BC and Power BI).

Furthermore we have sourcing managers in Egypt, Brasil, Peru and India. Our roots lie with a South African fruit grower, and from there, we’ve specialised in importing grapes and citrus, supplemented with pomegranates, avocados, mangoes, limes and pome fruit. Our products mainly come from the Southern Hemisphere, and we handle the marketing and distribution to major supermarkets and food processors across Europe.
